Crane rail clips are used to constrain and maintain the rail in a certain position. By design these clips can take high side loads while maintaining in the installed position. Crane rails need to be installed to very tight tolerances so that the equipment running on the rails operates at its highest efficiency and level of safety.
Our designs of friction fit clips and adjustable clips allow very precise alignment of rails, while providing sufficient strength to carry the very high forces the cranes can apply to the rails. The adjustable clips also have a rubber nose which aids the soft mounting system solution by absorbing the bow wave effect from the rail and prevent the fatigue of the clip bolts.
When selecting a rail clip, it is recommended to select a clip that will fit the supporting structure and that will carry the lateral forces from the crane wheels. The choice between bolted style clips and those with welded lower components is based on industry practice and preference.
