Crane Rail Pad

Many industry publications recognize crane rail pads as an integral part of the soft mounting system.

Rail Pads are designed to reduce overall shock and vibration in the rail system, while also allowing for the rails to rotate. This allowable movement provides for better distribution of the loads from the crane wheel to the rail head and from the rail foot onto the supporting structure. This effectively reduces the load concentration and stresses commonly found on a runway system and its supporting members.

Rail pad also eliminates the metal-to-metal contact between the rails and the steel surfaces, which reduces wear and corrosion between the two items. This is crucial on outdoor or embedded rail systems.
