The primary function of crane rail support plates is to provide rails with a flat, durable and smooth resting surface, while effectively distributing the wheel loads.
Crane rail support plates (also called soleplates or chairs) are designed to maintain precise alignment of crane rails allowing for simple and quick initial installations, permitting the contractor to comply with the strictest rail tolerances specific to that project.
Depending on the application, loads and the type of rail, soleplates can be made continuous or individual. For specific projects, our engineering team can also provide an engineered system that will allow for post installation vertical and horizontal rail adjustments to meet the original project requirements in the event of settlement or movement when required.
