Atlantic Track Runway Services LLC (ATRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantic Track, which operates the Flash-Welding Division. Our Flash-Welding units have been specifically designed to handle Crane Rail Sections.
Our self-contained mobile welding plants are complete with a diesel generator and an on-board boom crane that can position the welder-head when welding gantry or STS crane tracks. When required to weld for an overhead runway, our welder-head can be extending using an umbilical cord as it is suspended from an independent crane.
The Atlantic Track Crane Rail Flash-Welding Service has become the industry standard method of joining sections of crane rail in North America, as it allows us to make strong, continuous welded rail produced of parent metal only (free of foreign material), by heating and hydraulically forging two rail ends together.
