With over a hundred rail sections used and produced around the world, there are select profiles specifically designed and produced for crane applications or other specialty track applications. The most widely used profiles throughout the world are rolled to the DIN Standard, DIN 536, Part 1, produced in a few countries. In North America, the American Crane Rail Profiles are produced to ASTM A759. Other rail profiles are based on Russian Origins and these are prefixed as the IS, CR and QU profiles, and are produced in India and China predominately.
Crane Rails are made all over the world, in different sizes, lengths, weights, profiles and material properties. Selecting a rail profile involves a deep understanding and experience in rail systems as many factors need to be taken into consideration.
